Every year, students from Hue Tourism College have opportunities to participate in many activities and competitions launched by the Student Council Committee and the Youth Union.
Normally, the competition takes place on March 26th of every even year to celebrate the formation of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. In this competition, there are many disciplines that are suitable for students.
Students from Food and Beverage department will take part in “Folding napkins” competition.
Those who are from Front Office and Housekeeping will participate in “Arranging flowers”.
Cookery students have a chance to compete the talent with “ Artistic pruning”.
This competition aims at developing the imagination and creativity of students in Tourism industry.
On March 26th of every odd year, the HUETC Youth Union organizes camping for all students. In this occasion, there are many useful activities are held.
Music, Fashion show and Tourism knowledge competition:
Yearly, the competion is held on the occasion of celebrating the establishment of Vietnam Student’s Day January 9th. Hundreds of students are very eager to participate in this competition. On January 9th, 2010 the HUETC Student Council Committee and the Youth Union successfully held the “ Tourism Students” competition. The purpose of the competition is to help students more confident in communicating as well as appearing in front of a crowd. Besides, this is a good opportunity for students to show what they have learnt at the school and their ability in Music and Fashion show related to the topic “Tourism Students”.
HUETC students with social activities:
Every Summer, the HUETC Youth Union organizes the “Volunteer Campaign” for students. The aim of this compaign is to help people in ethnic minority Nam Dong and A Luoi district to build houses, help pupils with notebooks and old books or to teach English for people who do “homestay touirsm”. Also, hundreds of HUETC students are very enthusiastic to participate in tidying and cleaning the environment of the city after big floods.
